Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • 1 year’s experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a CDL within 120 days of hire.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and guidelines accurately.
  • Ability to understand plus adhere to Company Policies in all areas.

Responsibilities

  • Completes inspections in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines.
  • Supports technical operations.
  • Corrects minor vehicle deficiencies, including adjustments, alignments, and replacements at the direction of Management.
  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections; oil changes; chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Performs inspections both in the shop and remotely to customer needs.
  • Performs campaigns, installs components, and part upgrades as directed.
  • Performs light repairs and corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling components, parts, or systems (lighting, expendable equipment, air and electrical lines).
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
  • Performs tire repairs, replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off of vehicles as needed.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and emission control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
  • Keeps shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Controls costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
