Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Surfside Beach, SC. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and conducting inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards. Accurate documentation of repairs and work orders, maintaining a clean work area, and following safety procedures are also key aspects of the position. Collaboration with supervisors and team members is essential to support fleet operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
