The Fleet Technician A (Mechanic) is responsible for diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts. This role involves completing thorough documentation for work orders and preventative maintenance using the online Enterprise Asset Management system. The technician will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic technology and perform detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision. Adherence to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, is crucial, along with ensuring compliance with safety programs and proper use of tools and PPE. This position may require driving company vehicles and is regulated by the DOT, necessitating a current driver qualification file. Some travel may also be required, and other projects or duties may be assigned.
