About The Position

This role involves troubleshooting and investigating issues related to Electronic Warfare (EW) systems onboard submarines, specifically focusing on BLQ-10 and other critical EW systems. The technician will apply expert knowledge in Technology Insertions (TI14–TI20), performing diagnostic and maintenance actions across various baselines and platforms. This includes hands-on troubleshooting in Linux-based operating systems and custom EW software environments. The position supports technology transitions by participating in the planning, execution, and documentation for the installation of new systems, TEMPALTs, and SOVTs. The technician will also design, integrate, and manage complex systems through all lifecycle phases, ensuring system compatibility and future upgrade paths. Developing and updating testing and troubleshooting procedures, leveraging technical documentation, manufacturer guidelines, and real-world fleet experiences is a key responsibility. Additionally, the role involves overseeing and mentoring team members, performing cross-platform and cross-subsystem support, and delivering CONUS and OCONUS fleet support. Liaising with engineering, integration, and logistics teams to address system performance, requirements, and reliability issues is also part of the role.
