About The Position

As a Field Integration Specialist, you'll be part of the Field Integration and Test team. Your main duties are site surveys and field installation: checking deployment locations and installing systems in the field. You'll also handle technical readiness, troubleshooting, sustainment and integration support for deployed systems. You'll work alongside Field Integration Engineers, who lead integration efforts, and Air Vehicle Operators, who run missions. You carry out the technical work on each deployment and keep it going day to day. Your main goal is high fleet readiness and uptime for the current deployment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate with a STEM focus, plus 5+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Field Engineering Specialist or in an engineering role OR a bachelor's degree in an engineering or technology field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with electrical and radio-frequency (RF) systems.
  • Hands-on experience with site surveys and field installation of technical systems.
  • Deep expertise in communications systems, including installing, integrating, and testing radios, datalinks, antennas, and network equipment in the field.
  • Proven, hands-on record troubleshooting complex technical systems in field or operational settings.
  • Experience with maintenance, sustainment, and configuration management.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions under time pressure in austere environments.
  • Clear communication skills, including training customers and working across teams.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in electrical and RF environments, including power distribution, cabling, grounding, antennas, RF equipment, and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to assess deployment locations, checking site conditions, infrastructure, power, communications, and physical and environmental limits.
  • Install, set up, and configure systems at customer sites, ensuring they meet technical and operational requirements.
  • Configure and validate deployed systems, including new capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and subsystem issues in the field.
  • Manage parts readiness, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and fleet sustainment.
  • Perform approved modifications to fielded hardware and systems.
  • Maintain accurate configuration records for all deployed assets.
  • Make field-level technical decisions, with input from the Field Integration Engineer.
  • Support integration planning and execution tasks, contributing to long-term fixes and root cause analysis.
  • Provide customers with technical support and hands-on training on system setup, operation, and upkeep.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, logistics, and customer teams to resolve issues and maintain deployment readiness.
