About The Position

The Fleet Specialist is responsible for the administration and supervision of all company-owned and leased vehicles encompassing every aspect of preventive maintenance, repairs, record keeping and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, Materials or other closely related field is preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred
  • Knowledge or ability to learn Adobe, Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to succeed working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to respond effectively to change
  • High level of organization skills with multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to carry out defined procedures with specific instructions; ability to manage a project from its initiation to completion with minimal supervision
  • Dedicated team player willing to take on new challenges
  • Experience using Fleet Management Systems preferred
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle; must maintain a valid class C California driver’s license and be insurable is required

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction by maintaining a consistently high level of customer service
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures such as (not an inclusive list): DOT, CHP, BIT, ARB, DMV, Samsara
  • Manage and maintain vehicle records (not inclusive list): licensure, registration and insurance
  • Provide reports on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
  • Review, code, and facilitate payment of monthly vehicle invoices
  • Provide back-up for vehicle maintenance approvals
  • Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed
  • Supervise vehicle purchases and replacements
  • Work closely with safety, vendors, service managers, and mechanics on vehicle questions and concerns
  • Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
  • Attend field safety meetings and vehicle meetings as needed
  • Receive and/or prepare work orders using a computer
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned
