About The Position

The Fleet Shop Helper is an entry-level position that assists in the daily operations of the Fleet shop department. Requirements

High school diploma or GED is required
Ability to acquire a class A driver’s license
Must have insurable driving record
Ability to use technology to accomplish assigned tasks
Good mechanical skills
Ability to multitask and work independently
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Working knowledge of applicable safety procedures
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach, stand and move as needed
Exposure to gasoline and other mechanical fluids
Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
Availability to work in early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience in heavy equipment or auto repair is desirable

Responsibilities

Perform shop maintenance-related work as required
Assist with inventory maintenance of repair parts and equipment
Inspect tools and equipment to ensure that they are in working order
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate policies and OSHA standards
Clean the shop and returns tools and equipment to proper locations
Conduct safety inspection on Company equipment
Perform all work in accordance within established safety procedures
Assist senior technicians in the completion of assigned tasks and jobs
Drive company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts
Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Perform other assigned tasks
Regular and predictable attendance
Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
