About The Position

Billion Automotive, a family-owned business since 1935 with a strong reputation for customer satisfaction, is a growing multi-state organization with over 25 locations in Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota. They are currently hiring Fleet Sales Consultants to join their team. This role involves maintaining contact with government agencies and utilities to secure fleet business through the bidding process, soliciting commercial fleet accounts, and ensuring quality deliveries of all fleet sales. The consultant will also act as a source for national and local courtesy deliveries, provide out-of-stock service for fleet accounts and local leasing companies, and supply monthly forecasts of fleet vehicle deliveries to the new-vehicle department manager. Additionally, they will follow up on dealership payments for delivered vehicles and maintain a professional appearance. Other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license/clean driving record
Prior sales experience REQUIRED (Preferably fleet sales)
Possess strong analytical/critical thinking skills
Be a self-starter/able to meet goals working independently

Responsibilities

Maintains contact with federal, state, and/or local government agencies and utilities to secure fleet business, actively utilizing the bidding process.
Solicits commercial fleet accounts.
Ensures quality deliveries of all fleet sales.
Acts as source for national and local courtesy deliveries (supplying specifications as needed for orders).
Provides out-of-stock service for fleet accounts and local leasing companies in conjunction with new-vehicle department manager.
Supplies new-vehicle department manager with monthly forecasts of fleet car and truck deliveries.
Follows up on dealership payment for delivered fleet, lease company and commercial account vehicles routinely.
Maintains professional appearance.
Other tasks as assigned.
