Fleet Planning & Cost Analyst Specialist
About The Position
SwiftX Express is seeking a Fleet Planning & Cost Analyst Supervisor to support national transportation operations. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on dispatch responsibilities and focuses on linehaul network design, carrier bidding, cost analysis, and dispatch planning to support timely, efficient, and cost-effective freight transportation nationwide. The position is on-site and full-time. The role works with Fleet Operations and cross-functional teams to develop and execute fleet plans, manage capacity, and improve the efficiency and reliability of the national fleet network. SwiftX Express describes itself as a fast-growing shipping provider with expanding U.S. operations in California, Arizona, Florida, New Jersey, Texas, and other locations.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in transportation planning, cost analysis, or dispatch support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field.
- Strong data analysis skills, including Excel, SQL, or business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with U.S. linehaul trucking operations, including FTL/LTL, CPM models, and bidding.
- Ability to balance strategic analysis with hands-on dispatch planning tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during peak season.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with a transportation management system (TMS).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin; strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support national linehaul dispatch planning, including route design, scheduling, and capacity allocation.
- Develop and maintain the national fleet capacity model, including forecasts and peak-season plans.
- Lead or support carrier bidding processes and establish and manage the approved carrier pool.
- Analyze transportation costs, including cost per mile (CPM), utilization, and empty miles, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Prepare regular management reports on cost performance, service levels, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with Fleet Operations to ensure plans are executed effectively nationwide.
- Maintain accurate planning documents, bidding records, and cost analysis reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve fleet network efficiency and reliability.
