Sprague is seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to oversee the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of our fleet. Responsibilities include conducting driver training, providing field operations support, and contributing to our safety programs and driver efficiency initiatives. Requirements

  • 5 years of fleet operations experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • CDL A with Hazmat Endorsement.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical exam.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identity Card (TWIC)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and fleet software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to travel and work various shifts for driver supervision.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with individuals across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct driver observations and complete evaluation summaries and recommendations.
  • Resolve driver, fleet, and customer concerns through onsite visits and field support.
  • Support mobile systems, liaising with IT or external developers.
  • Manage driver scheduling and PTO.
  • Execute new hire, refresher, and periodic training, including Smith System and new product operations training.
  • Develop training programs to improve fleet efficiency while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
  • Schedule and conduct monthly safety meetings.
  • Support the SPHERA reporting and investigation process.
  • Contribute to driver safety committee objectives.
  • Schedule random drug and alcohol testing and DOT medical exams.
  • Obtain/maintain JFK issuing officer credentials and manage driver scheduling and renewals.
