The Department of Ecology is hiring a Fleet Operations Analyst (Program Specialist 2) within the Administrative Services Division. This position serves as Ecology’s Fleet Operations Analyst, supporting the agency’s mission by helping manage and improve a statewide fleet of about 450 transportation assets. You will provide agency-wide coordination, data analysis, and policy guidance to ensure Ecology’s fleet is used efficiently, safely, and in compliance with state requirements. This work blends operational problem-solving with data-driven analysis. You will review fleet data, identify trends, and help programs improve processes—from routine vehicle use and recordkeeping to supporting Ecology’s transition to electric vehicles. You will also provide training and assistance to fleet coordinators across the state, building strong relationships and influencing consistent practices agency-wide. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and serving as a subject-matter resource. The position offers room to grow technical expertise in fleet operations, data systems, and statewide transportation policies, while gaining experience in cross-program coordination and policy interpretation.
