Fleet Mechanic
About The Position
Independence Corrugated, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners and a leader in the corrugated manufacturing industry, is seeking a Mobile Fleet Mechanic in Oak Creek, WI. This role involves the repair of various mobile equipment, including forklifts and clamp trucks. The mechanic will also communicate with vendors regarding parts and collaborate with the purchasing department using the company's work order system. Responsibilities may extend to outdoor facility maintenance such as lawn care and snow removal. Independence Corrugated values its employees and aims to support them and their families.
Requirements
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
- Experience and knowledge of working on a Forklift's electrical, hydraulic, welding, and propane systems.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous mechanical and/or electrical experience.
- Work order systems background.
- Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing type setting involving physical movement and lifting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair forklifts, clamp trucks, and various other types of equipment and vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle history within the company computer systems.
- Communicate accurately and professionally with various departments regarding needs.
- Take directions from a supervisor.
- Potentially involved with outdoor facility assignments (lawncare and snow removal).
