Fleet Mechanic
About The Position
We are seeking a Diesel Fleet Technician to oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of our light and medium duty commercial vehicle fleet at our St. Paul location. This role involves performing complete diagnostic procedures, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, drivetrain, hydraulic systems, suspensions, and electrical systems. You will also be responsible for routine vehicle maintenance such as annual DOT compliance and oil changes, as well as servicing auxiliary equipment like lift gates and power take-off (PTO) units. Additionally, you will maintain accurate service records, track inventory, execute scheduled PM checks, and adhere to all shop safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience in diesel equipment diagnosis, engine repair, and light/medium-duty vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency in hydraulic systems, chassis components, electrical troubleshooting, and welding.
- Valid Driver's License
- DOT Medical Card
- Ability to lift up to 70–125 lbs
- Willingness to work seasonal overtime as needed

- Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and software to identify system malfunctions and mechanical errors.
Responsibilities
