About The Position

Independently performs preventive maintenance and standard repairs on ambulances and support vehicles to ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance. This is an Hourly/Non-Exempt position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• 2+ years of automotive or diesel repair experience OR technical certification.
• Basic diagnostic capability.
• Must possess a personal set of automotive/diesel mechanic tools sufficient to perform job duties. Tool inventory may be verified upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with medium/heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs).
• Perform brake repairs, suspension work, steering component repair, and minor engine work.
• Diagnose routine mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Repair lighting systems and minor electrical components.
• Complete accurate service documentation.
• Maintain compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Support roadside repairs when necessary.
