About The Position

Centra Sota Cooperative is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on our fleet of energy delivery trucks, feed trucks, trailers, and light-duty vehicles to ensure safe, reliable operation throughout our cooperative. Centra Sota Cooperative's vision is to improve lives and create a more vibrant future for farmers, families, and communities in Central MN.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in diesel, heavy equipment, or fleet maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using diagnostic scanners and computer-based repair systems.
• CDL Class A or B (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to obtain Hazmat certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Centra Sota Cooperative driver qualification requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
• Complete repairs on engines, drivetrains, brakes, suspensions, wheel seals, and related components.
• Perform DOT inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Move and position trucks and trailers safely throughout the shop and yard.
• Communicate repair status and coordinate equipment availability with operations staff.
• Participate in ongoing training and support a safe, team-oriented work environment.
