Fleet Manager (Tues - Sat; 2PM - Midnight)
About The Position
The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations, ensuring safety, service, cost-effectiveness, professionalism, and respect. This role involves dispatching Class A Drivers, managing customer satisfaction, equipment utilization, and DOT compliance. Key duties include accurate load entry, dispatching, on-time delivery, and freight bill creation with high attention to detail. The position also requires supporting administrative duties as needed and enforcing all company safety policies. The Fleet Manager will assist with safety training, conduct safety checklists, and ensure adherence to Hours of Service regulations and DOT/State regulations. They will also manage equipment inspections, track damages, and audit fuel purchases.

Responsibilities
- Dispatching Class A Drivers
- Ensuring customer satisfaction, equipment utilization, and DOT compliance
- Ensuring accurate load entry, dispatch, and on-time delivery
- Creating freight bills with exceptional attention to detail
- Serving as backup to administrative duties as needed
- Ensuring all company safety policies are understood and enforced
- Assisting with safety training through safety bulletins and monthly tailgate meetings
- Assisting with Monthly IIPP Yard and Office Safety Checklists and reporting them to the Site Manager
- Ensuring all Hours of Service regulations, DOT/State regulations, and company safety policies are adhered to
- Auditing and correcting Paper-logs and/or E-logs
- Ensuring all assigned tractor and trailers are PM/BIT inspected within timelines
- Ensuring equipment damages are reported on the safety register in a timely manner
- Ensuring all preventable damages are charged to the responsible party
- Daily audit of all fuel purchases
