About The Position

The Dedicated Fleet Manager coordinates all freight planning, driver assignments, and equipment utilization for a division of Dedicated Trucking. You ensure regulatory compliance, maximize driver and equipment productivity, and deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers. This position requires strong communication, time management, and customer service skills to maintain daily operations and driver engagement. The salary grade for this position ranges from $62,000.00 - $76,000.00. Starting pay within this range will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of customer service experience.
1+ year of transportation industry experience.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Experience with TMW, Omnitracs, and Qualcomm systems.
3+ years of experience as a fleet manager or dispatcher.
Extensive knowledge of DOT compliance regulations, hours of service, controlled substance policies, and vehicle compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Plan and assign loads, ensuring full driver and equipment utilization while meeting customer expectations.
Maintain awareness of each assigned driver’s preferences, home time needs, and working conditions.
Monitor driver hours of service and regulatory compliance before dispatching.
Manage mileage expectations for drivers based on account objectives or weekly mileage goals.
Track drivers on high-security loads and ensure compliance with company policies.
Respond to driver, customer, and supplier inquiries during and after business hours.
Provide drivers with necessary customer contact information and directions.
