About The Position
Supervise and coordinate a fleet of over the road drivers by providing training and education and ensuring the drivers are focused on reaching corporate goals.
Requirements
- Prefer a four-year college degree with an emphasis in a related field to the position plus 6 – 12 months related experience and/or training and 0 – 12 months previous management experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Control cost by following established guidelines and promptness of: swaps, T-Calls, and repowers.
- Generate accurate weekend pay reports.
- Assist and participate in the creation of department actions plans that support the company’s strategic business plan.
- Establish, modify, document and coordinate job documentation or areas managed.
- Manage, assign, delegate and direct duties of drivers.
- Appraise performances, coach, counsel, reward and discipline drivers.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.
- Terminate drivers, if necessary.
- Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs and procedures.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
- Ensure company confidentiality.
