About The Position

Attached to a mine site, the goal is to ensure good working performance and conditions of the fleet of equipment’s executing the maintenance policy and procedures of BIA and Manufacturers.

Requirements

French language proficiency.
Minimum 3 years of experience in mining (or construction).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Supervisor position.

Good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

Conduct toolbox talks regularly.
Update risk assessments and create accurate SOPs.
Ensure safety compliance for direct reports.
Verify proper PPE usage and tool care for staff.
Increase staff awareness of risk analysis before activities.
Define and ensure participation in HSE training for staff.
Ensure TAKE 5 is completed accurately for every task by direct reports.
Utilize JSEA and SOPs as per instruction and policy.
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mining equipment.
Ensure machines meet contractual availability.
Guarantee the quality of technical diagnostics and interventions following OEM guidelines.
Coordinate Supervisors and their teams, organizing work, dispatching staff, and optimizing utilization.
Report technical data from respective teams to hierarchy.
Manage performance through PMP process, respecting deadlines.
Develop team members' technical and soft skills through coaching and feedback.
Provide clear and accurate instructions.
Respect functional hierarchy and communication channels.
Report defective tooling and support equipment to the fleet manager and tool store controller.
Compile accurate end-of-shift handover documents.
Ensure work orders are accurate, detailed, and submitted for sign-off.
Ensure machine hours are recorded per shift.
Compile reports for other departments as required.
