About The Position

NControl Driving School is the leading Defensive Driver education company in the valley committed to delivering outstanding education to New Teen Drivers. We are looking for someone that has the same passion to maintain our fleet of 12 vehicles and equipment to meet operational demands to become our Fleet / Maintenance Technician keeping our fleet and office running safely and efficiently. As a Fleet / Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of issues with our vehicles and equipment. This role is crucial to ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet operations. The schedule for this position is 5.5hr shifts in the morning before Instructors go out for the day. In addition to the Maintenance side, this individual will also be responsible for the setting-up and tearing-down of our Car Control Equipment utilized on the weekends. This in-tails the towing of our ’28-foot enclosed car hauler that has our skid vehicle in it along with all the equipment used during the weekend. The set-up occurs on Friday and tear-down is Sunday afternoon after the completion of the course, twice a month. The weekends we don't do Car Control will be spent going through vehicle before the week begins.

Requirements

  • Only RESPONSIBLE , RELIABLE individuals should apply.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical school training preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • ASE certification(s) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and has Towed long trailer expertise (Must prove to Owner).
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic tools, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in various weather conditions, like very, very HOT conditions during the summer.
  • Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems (Sidecars).
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities (forms are supplied).
  • Perform safety inspections in accordance with ADOT and company standards.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and the Office Coordinator to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Order parts and maintain shop inventory as needed.
  • Cleaning of vehicles on weekly basis.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe office environment.
  • Setting-up and tearing-down of Car Control Equipment utilized on the weekends.
  • Towing of a 28-foot enclosed car hauler that has a skid vehicle and all equipment used during the weekend.
