The City of Olathe is hiring Heavy Duty Fleet Maintenance Technicians to help keep the trucks, equipment, and fleet assets that support essential City services safe, reliable, and ready for use. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and specialized equipment. Work may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, steering, suspension, air, and drivetrain systems. Depending on assignment, technicians may work on trucks, utility vehicles, loaders, backhoes, trailers, and other equipment used to support City operations. This position may be filled at the I, II, III, or IV level based on a candidate’s related experience, training, certifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the work independently. This position is part of a four-level career progression of Fleet Maintenance Technician I, II, III and IV.
