About The Position

Prudential Overall Supply is seeking a dedicated Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead our fleet maintenance team and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our vehicle fleet. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibility and is ideal for an experienced fleet professional who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and maintaining high operational standards.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 6 years of fleet mechanic experience
  • 3–5 years of shop management experience overseeing technicians and fleet maintenance operations
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certification in Diesel Repair (Medium and Heavy Duty) preferred
  • ASE Certification in Brakes preferred
  • ASE Certification in HVAC preferred
  • Vocational Technical Graduate preferred
  • Military maintenance experience strongly encouraged
  • Associate degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience managing a large fleet environment preferred
  • Experience with diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems preferred
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, DOT regulations, and fleet documentation practices preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the fleet maintenance team to ensure efficient daily operations within the fleet maintenance shop.
  • Provide supervision and technical guidance to technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules to maximize vehicle uptime and reliability.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet Company, OSHA, State, and DOT standards for safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Maintain high shop standards for cleanliness, organization, and professional conduct.
  • Monitor maintenance costs, inventory, and shop resources to support operational efficiency and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, vehicle histories, and fleet documentation within fleet management systems.
  • Collaborate with plant and operational leadership to improve fleet performance and reduce downtime.
  • Support training and development of maintenance personnel and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
