About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating fleet maintenance operations within the Fleet Services department. The Fleet Maintenance Operations Coordinator will assist clinical leaders and administrators in developing solutions to maximize patient access and reduce preventable readmissions and ED utilizations. This position involves developing and updating manuals of procedures and process maps, screening patients, managing data for databases to produce outcomes information, and providing leadership in process management. The coordinator will work closely with leadership to identify process needs and develop plans for control and improvement, lead special projects, analyze data, and make recommendations for the efficient operation of navigator programs. Additionally, the role involves participating in and leading departmental taskforces, teams, and committees to improve process and operational efficiencies, supporting process/quality improvement initiatives, and participating in strategic and operational planning to ensure optimal service levels. The coordinator will also ensure effective and efficient collaboration across programs to achieve designated goals.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent patient and family communication skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), facilitation, quantitative and analytical skills are required.
  • Strong PC background in computer spreadsheets systems and presentation packages.
  • Experience in patient recruitment, enrollment, and follow up.
  • Ability to communicate on a professional level with nurses, physicians and other ancillary professional staff.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and ability to function effectively with little or no direct supervision.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage process, protocol and workflow change well.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to general hospital and medical center standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
  • Assists Clinical leaders and Administrator in the development of solutions to maximize access and volumes of services provided to patients at high risk for preventable readmissions and ED utilizations.
  • Develops and updates all manual of procedures and process maps.
  • Screens patients on admissions, discharge, and on readmissions using established algorithms and review of medical encounters in WakeOne.
  • Manages data for applicable databases to produce outcomes information for quality reporting and operational initiatives.
  • Provides a leadership role in driving process management, working closely with leadership to identify process needs and develop plans to control and improve processes.
  • Provides leadership for special projects as directed, developing course of action, providing updates, feedback and reports, and analyzing data to promote efficient operations.
  • Participates and actively leads assigned departmental taskforces, teams and committees to improve process and operational efficiencies.
  • Supports project leadership for process/quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in strategic and operational planning to design, implement, and evaluate programmatic needs and ensures optimal service levels.
  • Coordinates information and operations across programs to ensure programs work effectively and efficiently together to achieve designated goals.
