About The Position

As a Fleet Maintenance Fueler Washer at Penske, you will help ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, and safe before returning to the road. You will greet customers, support a positive customer experience, and help maintain a clean and safe facility. No prior experience is required; Penske provides training in vehicle maintenance processes and technology, with hands-on experience that can support advancement to a technician role. The position is based at 1420 W Main Ave, De Pere, WI 54115. It involves vehicle readiness inspections and, with training and coaching, minor repairs and preventive maintenance. The role is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive and requires compliance with applicable safety and maintenance policies.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required.

Ability to understand and comply with instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and other information established by Penske management.
Ability to perform work in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool and PPE use, machine guarding, and established safety practices.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Because the role involves driving Penske and customer vehicles, maintain a current driver qualification file as required, including an annual motor vehicle records check, a completed DOT physical, and safety performance history records requests from prior employers for the last three years. CDL holders must complete a DOT drug screening within 30 days of starting and are subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, undergo background screening, pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and potentially travel within a nearby area for training.
Ability to remain alert and work safely in a safety-sensitive position, and accept responsibility for personal and others’ safety.
Ability to move frequently and to stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during scheduled work.
Ability to routinely use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls.
Ability to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated work platforms and to work safely in all weather conditions.
Ability to see and hear well enough to navigate a workplace where large trucks frequently move.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, and regularly push or pull truck tires weighing more than 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience is preferred.
Basic mechanical ability and tool usage are preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide a positive experience while fueling and washing vehicles.
Perform vehicle readiness inspections, including checking tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items.
Help keep facilities clean and safe for customers and associates.
Build skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs, including installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and performing preventive maintenance repairs.
Complete other projects and tasks assigned by a supervisor.
