About The Position

The Fleet Maintenance Clerk supports the maintenance team by scheduling preventive maintenance, ordering parts, maintaining the maintenance system, managing part inventory levels and accuracy, and processing reports for management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 6 months of related work experience.
  • Desire and ability to learn Waste Pro proprietary software applications.
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, data entry, Fleet Management software, and email.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities with speed and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the waste or trucking industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules preventive maintenance for Waste Pro vehicles and orders required parts for maintenance services.
  • Files repair orders, safety lane forms, and DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
  • Enters maintenance-related data into the system daily as needed and verifies the information entered by mechanics.
  • Orders parts requested from the night and day shifts with shop manager approval.
  • Maintains parts inventory, including cycle counting parts.
  • Receives, labels, stocks, and dispenses parts to mechanics, supervisors, and managers.
  • Assists the shop manager by reviewing maintenance staff time cards for missed punches and notifying the manager where corrections are required.
  • Produces productivity and usage reports for management.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Attends and participates in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
  • Keeps up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Performs any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
