Requirements

  • 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
  • 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above

Responsibilities

  • Oversee statewide fleet management operations, including vehicle purchasing, assignment, utilization, and disposition.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce policies governing fleet operations and the Universal Fleet Voyager Credit Card program.
  • Supervise Fleet Management staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Establish departmental goals and performance standards and implement strategies to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Review and analyze fleet performance data to guide decisions on vehicle usage, mileage, and assignments.
  • Oversee agency‑wide equipment and asset inventory to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper reporting.
  • Lead statewide inventory processes, resolve discrepancies with internal and external partners, and recommend improvements to asset‑control policies.
