Fleet Driver (Regional)
About The Position
Smithfield is seeking a Fleet Driver (Regional) to join their team. This role offers a great balance between work and life, with competitive compensation and benefits. Drivers will be assigned late model Freightliner tractors to pull 53’ reefer trailers and will be dispatched to Smithfield's plants, company distribution centers, and customer distribution centers. Success in this position relies on safe driving, customer service, and effective decision-making. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 1-year CDL Class A driving tractor trailer or reefer experience required.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
