Provide drivers with necessary support during evening and/or weekend hours so that drivers can deliver loads safely and on time. This role involves answering incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with various issues including delays, service problems, trailers, payroll, and other needs. The dispatcher will fuel and route drivers while promoting safety, dispatch necessary resources (driver, truck, trailer) to address immediate issues, and resolve driver problems using critical thinking skills. Responsibilities also include monitoring loads, resolving issues that may affect scheduled delivery/pickup times, proactively informing customers of changes, resolving load targets, ensuring on-time delivery, and communicating effectively with customers, drivers, and leadership. The role requires responding to driver and terminal needs, assisting with emergency situations, understanding and supporting company policies, and ensuring drivers can operate safely and efficiently by managing accurate PTAs, providing trailer solutions, planning BPMs and appointments, assisting with CDL management, and adhering to home time guidelines. Proactive assistance to colleagues in achieving organizational objectives is also expected.
