About The Position

Primoris T&D provides construction, maintenance, and engineering of electric Transmission, Distribution, and Substation infrastructure. Ancillary services include wireless telecommunication installation, environmental cleanup, project management, and storm restoration services. The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing the assignment, sourcing, and logistics of the organization's vehicles and equipment. This role ensures that all processes are followed and that equipment management systems are updated in a timely and accurate manner. The Fleet Coordinator should be well-versed in various field operations concepts, practices, and procedures. This position involves analyzing life cycle and utilization rates, making recommendations on the replacement, addition, or sale of assets as needed. The role also includes following procedures for the acquisition and divestiture of fleet assets, including both on-road and off-road equipment.

  • Have sound knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire life cycle of equipment orders, from initiation to completion, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are obtained.
  • Monitor and maintain the utilization of owned fleet assets to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Identify and source equipment from rental vendors as needed to meet project requirements and operational demands.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Operations to understand project needs and provide timely and effective equipment solutions.
  • Ensure that all data systems, including inventory and tracking software, are updated promptly and accurately to reflect current equipment status and availability.
  • Coordinate the logistics of equipment delivery and retrieval, ensuring timely and efficient transportation to and from job sites.
  • Ensure all fleet operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with equipment rental vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure reliable service.
  • Follow established procedures for the acquisition and divestiture of fleet assets, including both on-road and off-road equipment.
