About The Position

Join AAA Mountain West Group (MWG) as a Roadside Hero, where you'll be the face of AAA providing safety, solutions, and peace of mind to members in need. This role offers comprehensive training, guaranteed hours, and a supportive culture. You will operate tow trucks safely, perform basic vehicle diagnostics, provide roadside assistance like tire changes and fuel delivery, and build trust with members. The position requires clear communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle stressful situations. No prior towing experience is needed, as AAA provides top-tier paid training. The role involves working outdoors in various weather and traffic conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, and requires a valid driver's license with a clean record.

No prior towing experience required! We provide top-tier, paid training for the role.
A customer-first mindset and a passion for helping people.
Willingness and flexibility to work the 8am, 11am, 1pm, or 3:00 PM – Midnight, including weekends.
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (where applicable).
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Works outdoors at vehicle sites when servicing vehicles.
Lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 50 pounds, several times a day; bending, kneeling and stooping as required for service calls.
Works in all weather and all traffic conditions.
Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy and hazardous.
Service Providers are required to provide a photograph for identification purposes.

Responsibilities

Operating tow trucks safely and efficiently.
Performing simple vehicle diagnostics to figure out the issue.
Providing essential roadside assistance, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and vehicle lock-outs.
Building trust, problem-solving, and being a calming presence for our members on the scene.
Clear and proficient verbal and written communication even under pressure
Common knowledge of vehicle components and the common reasons for vehicle failure
Demonstrates problem solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety as well as the ability to discern safety issues and respond appropriately
Ability to drive a manual/automatic shift vehicle

Guaranteed Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week
Base Pay: Starting at $22.75/hour.
Shift Differentials: Earn an extra $0.75 to $1.50 more per hour depending on your hours and days worked.
