About The Position

Mazda of Valencia is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to join their team in Valencia, CA. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have a drive for success and a passion for luxury cars. The technician will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and safety by effectively, efficiently, and safely repairing vehicles correctly the first time, every time. This includes utilizing manufacturer-recommended diagnosis and repair processes, seeking clarification when needed, and verifying that concerns are resolved upon completion of repairs. The technician must maintain a solid working knowledge of and comply with all company, manufacturer, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations. A passion for continued learning regarding brand-specific knowledge is essential. The role also involves effectively and efficiently achieving proficiency rates, participating in the determination of personal performance targets, and organizing work to minimize damage or loss. Successful candidates must pass and remain current on all certification testing.

Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of Service Technician experience at an automotive dealership
Valid CA Driver License

Promptly seeks clarification and/or management input, if Client concern, objective, or correct course of action is unclear.
Upon completion of the repair, verifies that the concern has been resolved; communicates clearly the cause and all steps taken to correct the concern.
Consistently and actively maintains solid working knowledge of, and ensures documentation and procedures comply with, Company, Manufacturer, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations, which pertain to the sale and service of new and pre-owned vehicles; consistently demonstrates a passion for continued learning regarding brand-specific knowledge.
Consistently, effectively, and efficiently locates, reads, analyzes, interprets, understands, and successfully performs work based upon complex technical documents.
Effectively and Efficiently Achieves Proficiency Rate
Consistently participates in the determination of personal performance targets; sets challenging goals.
Organizes work and work tools to minimize damage and/or loss.
Required to successfully pass and remain current on all certification testing.
