About The Position

R.J. Corman Railroad Services is a full-service railroad construction, maintenance-of-way and emergency response company with 17 divisions strategically located across the nation. This role involves operating flash-butt welding equipment to repair rail, safely driving and maintaining CDL-B required vehicles and equipment, and transporting, operating, and servicing heavy equipment. The position requires practicing safe working habits, ensuring proper PPE is used, and performing maintenance, cleaning, and set-up of equipment using small and large tools. It also includes physical tasks like digging and hammering, following DOT regulations, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Communication with the team and supervisor is essential, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• CDL-B required
• Previous experience operating flash-butt welder required.
• Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test
• Lifting 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with working at heights over 25 feet on railroad cars; on bridges, over water, or in water.
• Love working outside!

Responsibilities

• Follow DOT regulations, ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed
• Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process
