About The Position

Southeastern Container, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of PET beverage bottles and preforms, serving the Coca-Cola bottling system. With over 35 years of stability, quality, and growth, we are seeking individuals for the Flake to Pellet Machine Operator role. This position is available on both day and night shifts, with a shift premium for night shift employees. The operator is responsible for the continuous operation of the NGR Flake to Pellet equipment and related systems to produce high-quality PET resin pellets. This includes ensuring safety, operating and monitoring equipment, machine setup, and cleaning.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Comfortable working in warehouse conditions
  • Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance
  • Able to follow safety rules and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • OSHA forklift certification (employer will provide training if not certified)
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Start, stop, and run Flake to Pellet machine per established safety and operational procedures.
  • Monitor flake feed and supply to assure continuous operation of the equipment.
  • Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager of potential problems.
  • Troubleshoot and profile machines as necessary.
  • Inspect finished pellets to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Work with the FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager to isolate any production that has been identified as out of specification.
  • Account for machine scrap.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader, FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager.
  • Complete any required reports as directed by the FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager.
  • Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality.
