About The Position
Flagger — L.C.L. Excavation (2006) Inc. Join our team! L.C.L. Excavation is hiring a Flagger to support traffic control operations on our municipal, commercial, and civil construction projects. This role ensures the safe movement of vehicles, equipment, and pedestrians through active work zones.
Requirements
- Valid Traffic Control/Flagger certification (required or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all conditions
- Reliable, attentive, and able to communicate clearly with crews and drivers
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Direct and control traffic using signs, hand signals, and communication devices
- Maintain safe work zones for crews, equipment, and the public
- Set up and take down traffic control devices, cones, and signage
- Communicate clearly with the site foreman, crew members, and other flaggers
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust flow to prevent congestion and hazards
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic control regulations, and company guidelines
