Requirements

Commitment to safety and adherence to all company and regulatory requirements.
Physical and mental alertness with the ability to provide clear direction to the public.

Reliable attendance – report to work on time and ready to contribute.
Flexibility to travel extensively with our portable paving crew, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
Strict adherence to PPE requirements and company safety policies.
Must be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work environment.
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company and state standards.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
Ability to provide valid I-9 documentation.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in construction or traffic control is a plus.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and guide traffic safely through active construction zones, protecting both workers and motorists.
Maintain a professional appearance and wear approved safety apparel (hard hat, safety vest, etc.) at all times.
Respond to questions from the motoring public courteously and intelligently.
Drive vehicles safely to assist with traffic control as needed.
Assist construction and paving crews with hands-on tasks such as shoveling, raking, and operating a wheelbarrow.
Signal equipment operators for alignment and movement of materials.
Help place, move, and dismantle signs, cones, barricades, and other traffic control devices.
Operate small power tools (e.g., jackhammer) when required.
Dig, spread, and level construction materials.
Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
Report any issues promptly to your manager.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and project needs.
