About The Position

The Bernard Group is a 100% employee-owned visual merchandising company that leads the retail industry in design and production. They are looking for an enthusiastic Fixture Assembler to join their team. This role will fabricate and assemble products using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. The Fixture Assembler will also read and interpret work orders and related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications. The available shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Possess a strong knowledge of electronics, along with general computer knowledge
Be able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Have the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work in a fast-paced environment
Be able to work unsupervised, make decisions independently, and solve problems effectively and creatively
Display a high level of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of the organization
Understand and maintain the confidential nature of customer and company information
Show professional knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting company standards
Have the ability to lift 50 pounds
Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

Nice To Haves

Experience in the Fabrication field is a plus
An understanding of a variety of substrates

Responsibilities

Assist the Fixture Assembly Leads with job setups
Work with a computer to update the software and firmware of electronic hardware
Maintain specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
Verify settings by measuring positions, first run, part and sample workpieces
Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity and quality
Perform work within drawing specifications and job notes
Perform duties in other areas within the Fixture Assembly area
Perform other duties as assigned by management
