About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in the second half of 2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. As part of the Fixed Maintenance Team, the Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing a team of fixed maintenance supervisors, technicians (Millwrights), and support staff engaged in the maintenance and repair of all Fixed Assets at the mine site. This role involves planning, coordination, and supervision of maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of fixed assets, compliance with maintenance schedules, and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ten (10) years of fixed plant maintenance experience, preferably in mining or mineral processing, including at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, shutdown execution, equipment reliability, budgets, contractors, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other computer applications.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Red Seal certification in a mechanical trade or an equivalent combination of related education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for fixed plant equipment.
  • Provide leadership and direction to maintenance supervisors, planners, tradespeople, and contractors.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations and other departments to support production requirements and equipment availability.
  • Lead scheduled shutdowns, major repairs, and equipment overhauls.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and established procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Oversee equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and root-cause investigations to minimize downtime and prevent recurring failures.
  • Work with Supply Chain and maintenance planning personnel to ensure required parts, materials, tools, and equipment are available.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and monitor equipment performance, downtime, costs, work order completion, and inventory levels.
  • Provide regular updates to the Maintenance Manager regarding maintenance performance, risks, and operational issues.
  • Manage contractor and vendor performance to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Establish performance expectations, coach team members, and address training and development needs.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging maintenance technologies.
  • Assist in developing the maintenance budget and manage expenditures to ensure effective cost control.
