About The Position

PGIM Custom Harvest, a division of PGIM Global Wealth, is a pioneer in the development of tax-beneficial investment strategies using exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for clients seeking improved after-tax outcomes. We provide full exposure to a client-selected benchmark while generating tax alpha through customized SMA portfolios of ETFs. PGIM Custom Harvest manages $7.1 billion on behalf of a wide range of RIAs and wealth managers. PGIM Custom Harvest is launching a fixed income SMA platform and is seeking a Senior Fixed Income Trader to help build and lead this new capability. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end accountability. You will be responsible for trading and managing individual client fixed income portfolios, establishing trading processes, and contributing to the growth of the fixed income SMA business.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of fixed income trading experience with a minimum of 3-5 years within an SMA, managed accounts, wealth management, or institutional fixed income platform.
  • Proficiency with industry platforms and tools (Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, etc.)
  • Series 7 and Series 63 (or Series 66) preferred; willingness to obtain if required
  • Ability to build processes, relationships, and infrastructure in a developing business environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working across teams and with external counterparties
  • Disciplined approach to risk management with a clear client-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • CFA designation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Execute trades across a range of fixed income securities (U.S. Treasuries, agencies, investment-grade corporates, and other relevant sectors) for individual client SMA accounts
  • Manage day-to-day portfolio activity, including cash flows, position adjustments, and ongoing risk monitoring
  • Develop and refine trading processes, workflows, and dealer relationships
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and technology partners
  • Maintain a strong focus on best execution, risk management, and fiduciary standards
  • Support the scaling of the fixed income SMA business over time
