About The Position

Morgan Stanley Investment Research is a leading force in fixed-income investing, providing in-depth analysis of markets and economies. The North American Fixed Income Research team is seeking an Associate level candidate for their Securitized Products Strategy team. This role involves client communication, research writing, bespoke analysis, and analytical model development. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, interpersonal, Excel, and communication skills.

Requirements

Strong skills in the area of quantitative analysis including ability to manage and analyze large datasets
Strong Programming skills (particularly in Q and R)
Familiar with applied statistical methods
Familiar with US fixed income markets and drivers
High energy, self-motivated, creative and organized
Proven writing skills
Strong focus on teamwork
Strong verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize

Responsibilities

Analysis of fundamental and technical trends in the ABS and broader securitized products markets
Generate written research for client consumption
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients
Respond to requests for information, calls and data from internal and external clients
Keep abreast of industry-related news flow
Regular interaction with securitized products Sales and Trading personnel
