About The Position

LAM Fixed Income Technology is looking for a business analyst who will be part of the Fixed Income Technology team. This team partners with global fixed income investment teams to support and enhance current processes, and to ensure each team's investment processes are integrated correctly with the Bloomberg PORT Enterprise for performance, attribution, and risk reporting. This role will challenge the candidate to crystallize requirements, define best practices, and work with the vendor, internal technology, and business stakeholders to meet project deliverables.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in IT
  • Experience in areas of Portfolio Analysis, Fixed Income Securities/OTC/Derivatives, and reporting is a must
  • Relevant experience in financial services or asset management
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg PORT/AIM
  • Solid grasp of MS Office tool suite, SQL with proven skillsets on create and update queries
  • Working knowledge with JIRA/Confluence, MS Excel VBA/Macro.
  • Functional knowledge of risk and attribution reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills; handle multiple projects and timelines while being detail oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Accountability and willingness to be pro-active in learning and improving the quality of deliverables and efficiency of processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with VS Code, Python scripting is a plus
  • Knowledge in AI technology and AI-based development

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the business to gather and document business requirements and functional specifications, document minutes and track takeaways.
  • Analyze and evaluate business requirements as it relates to large scale financial implementation projects, while providing hands-on expertise throughout implementation.
  • Ensure deliverables meet product requirements, and work with end users and project stakeholders to define best practices.
  • Evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Understand upstream and downstream processes relevant to area of expertise.
  • Work in a dynamic environment, partnering with fast-paced agile teams, to deliver quality software solutions to complex business problems.
