About The Position

Join our refinery Reliability Engineering team in Superior, WI, as a Fixed Equipment Engineer, supporting plant operations and equipment reliability. In this role, you will assist with troubleshooting equipment issues, analyzing failures, and driving improvements to mechanical integrity. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects, participate in safety reviews, and help ensure designs meet long-term reliability and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineering experience in an operating refinery or chemical plant with similar responsibilities and deliverables, or comparable experience
  • Broad and detailed knowledge of industry standards and reliability best practices

Responsibilities

  • Support plant operations with field troubleshooting and equipment reliability improvements
  • Assist in root cause analysis and mechanical integrity evaluations for static equipment
  • Participate in design reviews, equipment assessments, and risk evaluations (e.g., FMEA)
  • Help maintain and support mechanical integrity programs, including corrosion and risk-based inspection efforts
  • Contribute to documentation reviews, including inspection/work repair (IWR) packages and IOW data
  • Assist in managing bolted joint integrity and evaluating repair vendor quality and performance
  • Participate in safety and compliance processes, including PHA, HAZOP, and Management of Change (MOC)
