We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Fixed Asset & Capital Accountant located in Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting)
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in service or manufacturing industry
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to do ad hoc analysis
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP or Oracle) and efficient use of Excel
  • Detail oriented to maintain integrity and accuracy of fixed asset ledgers across all OxyChem businesses and locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of corporate experience in manufacturing preferred
  • 2+ years of fixed asset experience
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in PAX, OneStream, and PowerBI
  • Formal training, credit certificates/designations, or MBA a plus

Responsibilities

  • Interact with and assist Plant Controllers, Plant Capital Managers, Plant Engineers, Business Analysis, and Accountants with fixed asset and capital reporting inquiries
  • Complete detailed depreciation analysis and reporting, including Actual and Outlook results
  • Manage asset maintenance, asset capitalization, asset retirements, and Capital AFE setup
  • Maintain and update Plan models for budget purposes
  • Assist Corporate Engineering with project labor accrual tracking and analysis
  • Compile and distribute monthly Capital Spending and Pre-AFE reports
  • Assist with annual audits and collection of sample data
