About The Position

About the Role: We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant II to join our Financial Shared Services team based in De Pere, Wisconsin. This role plays a key part in supporting fixed asset accounting, capital spend analysis, and financial reporting processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards. In this role, you will partner with plant, corporate, and offshore teams to maintain accurate asset records, support month-end close activities, and provide insights into capital investments across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing finance function while gaining exposure to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Minimum of two years of progressive accounting experience, with fixed asset experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and capital processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with ERP or financial systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to quickly learn new systems and translate data into actionable insights

Responsibilities

  • Support fixed asset accounting activities including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation tracking
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
  • Maintain alignment between the fixed asset subledger and general ledger through timely and accurate reconciliations
  • Partner with offshore teams to review transactional work and ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
  • Review capital spending and monitor the status of major capital projects across corporate and plant locations
  • Assist in the annual capital budgeting process, including preparation of templates, summaries, and depreciation forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and coordination with auditors
  • Participate in quarterly and year-end reporting, including tax-related fixed asset schedules and analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reporting efficiency, capital processes, and financial insights
