About The Position
LG Resources is hiring skilled Structural/Production Fitters for a leading manufacturing facility in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The successful candidate will assemble and fit structural, plate, and mechanical components according to engineering drawings and fabrication standards. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, structural layout, and metal fabrication techniques while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in structural fitting and welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel layout and assembly techniques.
- Ability to pass a structural fitter skills test.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Receive and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and fabrication drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan fitting operations.
- Position, align, and assemble structural components according to specifications.
- Lay out work lines, fit-up jigs, and verify dimensions before assembly.
- Grind, chip, bevel, burn, and straighten materials as needed.
- Perform tack welding and structural fit-up for assembly purposes.
- Ensure completed work conforms to engineering drawings and quality requirements.
- Apply identification markings and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
- Perform other production duties as assigned.
