We are seeking a Fitter to join our team. This position is responsible for cutting, fitting, and welding pipe fittings according to detailed specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure quality workmanship, adhere to safety standards, and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous steel and carbon steel experience.
• Previous experience reading blueprints and following to completion.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read tape measurements
• Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Must be able to pass a Fitter Test

Responsibilities

• Operate hand grinders as needed
• Understanding how to properly clean and prep material before fitting
• Ability to use basic fabricating tools
• Knowledge of a variety of hand tools and welding equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and design
• Ability to add, subtract, and divide into all units of measure
• Follow all safety rules and practices and safety protocols
• Address fitting issues
• Clean/finish welded surfaces
• Ensure compliance with industry standards
• Fit/align metal components accurately
• Read/interpret welding symbols/drawings
• Prepare metal materials
• Prepare Weld Joints
• Other duties assigned as needed
