About The Position

Greenberry Industrial is looking for skilled Fitter-Welders to join our team in Jennings, Louisiana. If you’ve got hands-on experience in fabrication welding and a solid work ethic, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fabrication welding (FCAW experience is a must)
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
• Positive attitude and solid communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance or lifting aids.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate tools, welding equipment, grinders, torches, and machinery with precision.
• Regular bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in tight or awkward spaces, including working at heights or below grade.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated platforms or scaffolding as required.
• Must have adequate visual acuity (with or without correction) for welding, reading blueprints, and operating equipment. Hearing must be sufficient to detect alarms, radio communications, and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, exposed to varying temperatures, dust, fumes, and loud noises (PPE provided and required).
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and sustain physical activity throughout the shift, including during overtime or extended shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• Reading and working from blueprints and specs to lay out and assemble metal parts
• Performing FCAW welding (must be able to pass a weld test)
• Using various welding techniques: GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW, oxy-acetylene, and more
• Cutting and shaping metal with torches, brakes, shears, and bending machines
• Fixing worn-out parts by welding on new layers
• Showing up on time, ready to work safely and efficiently
• Following all safety guidelines and company procedures
• Tackling any additional tasks as needed
