About The Position

Join the team at the Sports Core as a Fitness Trainer, where your hard work and customer service skills will be appreciated and recognized! As a Fitness Trainer for Sports Core, you will be responsible for promoting and performing lifestyle programs, assessments and personal training services according to Sports Core standards. You will perform fitness services with minimal direction, including body fat testing (calipers and Microfit), girth measurements, weight, cardiovascular step test, sit/reach flexibility testing and strength testing. You will also promote, design and perform long-term personal training programs according to the needs and goals of healthy, average adults. Additionally, you will effectively demonstrate and assist facility users with fitness equipment in all fitness and training areas according to quality standards, maintain accurate member and personal client records according to standard operating procedures, and assist with set-up, cleaning and preventative maintenance for all fitness related equipment (weight benches, racks and equipment, Spinning bikes and any pool needs).

Requirements

  • Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification and bachelor's degree in like field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Biology, Health Promotions).
  • CPR/AED certified.
  • Minimum of 2 years Personal Training or Wellness field.
  • Previous leadership experience including program management/implementation
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certification is CSCS, ACSM, NASM.
