About The Position

The Health & Wellness Teacher works with members through participation in health and wellness living skills, focusing on the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, environmental, and social aspects of wellness. The Health & Wellness Teacher helps support members in all areas of a person’s overall health and vitality, helping to teach members practical life skills and useful self-care practices to incorporate into their daily life. A 12-week base curriculum has been created to guide the health and Wellness instructor from topic to topic i.e., Diabetes, Inflammation, immune Health, Cholesterol, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily fitness and wellness classes, providing exercise instruction, skills training, and supportive guidance.
  • Prepare class, print attendance sheets, course curriculum and distribute student materials each day, i.e., writing utensils, printouts for students’ reflection notes of course topic of the day, tidy up room when finished.
  • Set up and break down all class spaces and materials each day.
  • Track attendance accurately and research any excusals as needed.
  • Submit billing and documentation in KIPU with correct formatting and time entries.
  • Learn and implement new exercises, techniques, and curriculum from leadership.
  • Encourage member engagement to promote safety, connection, and a positive environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and supervision to support ongoing professional growth.
  • Maintain alignment with treatment plans, uphold KPIs, and ensure a clean, safe class environment.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission.
