About The Position

This role is within the Cardiac Rehabilitation specialty at Ascension Via Christi, St Francis in Wichita, KS. The Fitness Instructor will design and lead customized fitness programs and inclusive group exercise classes for diverse patient populations to achieve their health and recovery goals. They will also educate and inspire the community through wellness lectures, guide participants in connecting physical exercise to their health journeys, and maintain a safe fitness center by overseeing equipment upkeep and training members on proper usage.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science OR an active, accredited Certificate in Personal Training
