About The Position

The District is looking for a certified Zumba instructor with additional Aqua Zumba certification, bringing high-energy, inclusive workouts that motivate participants of all fitness levels. Available to teach a morning aqua Zumba class and evening Zumba class each week, with a focus on creating fun, engaging classes that promote fitness, confidence, and community.

Requirements

Certified Zumba instructor with additional Aqua Zumba certification
High school graduate or G.E.D.
Minimum one to two years of experience leading fitness, exercise, or conditioning programs
CPR and AED Certification required within six months of employment

Nice To Haves

College-level coursework in physical education or kinesiology preferred

Responsibilities

Prepares lesson plans and selects exercises to meet program objectives
Select and set up required materials and equipment for each class
Plans routines, chooses music and selects movements for muscle groups
Demonstrates proper breathing techniques during physical activity
Takes attendance, welcomes participants, and maintains accurate class lists
Provides varied exercises to accommodate different fitness levels
Ensures participant safety and notifies management of serious incidents
Puts away materials and maintains a clean, organized environment
Lead energetic and engaging Zumba and Aqua Zumba classes for participants of varying fitness levels
Create safe, effective, and fun workout experiences that encourage member participation and retention
Demonstrate proper movement techniques and provide modifications when needed
Arrive prepared with music, routines, and class equipment set up before each session
Foster a welcoming and positive environment that builds community and motivation
